  Opportunity / Course  

Intro to health and safety
Run at S.T.O.R.M.,s Centre, with free onsite Crèche Facilities, supported by Jobcentre plus for lone parents on benefits, that offers intense training to qualify students at NVQ Level 2 and prepares them for working within the Health and Social care sector.

  Our Aim  

We aim to work with 3 hospitals within the South London area to offer training support while on the course. After pre-application and added motivational training the students will have the opportunity proceed on to NVQ Level 3 or have work placements available from the supporting hospitals.

Work Preparation
This workshop provides empowering talks of encouragement, from people who come from similar backgrounds to emphasise anything is possible and that everyone has the potential to reach their goals, providing help with curriculum vitae writing, interview skills and how to dress for an interview, which will encourage participants to pay particular attention to their presentation, promoting self confidence and building self esteem.

  Our Aim

Leveraging on our partnership with Jobcentre Plus, we will provide information on the benefits available upon returning to work, information on childcare assistance and how to do job searches using the internet. Prospects, provide additional support to the ‘student’ providing support in Curriculum Vitae writing and filling out job application forms, along with letter writing skills for future work placements.

  Opportunity / Course

Introduction to childcare
This course is aimed at those wishing to become childminders/crèche workers, to achieve relevant qualifications and complete a first aid course, with the outcomes of motivation and employment readiness and CACHE qualifications in NVQ Level 1 and 2.

  Our Aim

We will be working with qualified tutors and Voluntary work experience will be available from S.T.O.R.M.S Crèche and local placements, which will be provided for ongoing training, for those currently not employed within this field.
